Group Reporting Newly Qualified Accountant

This role is a great opportunity for a Qualified Accountant who is looking to make a move into Industry, offering an opportunity to join an experienced and growing Group Reporting team.

The successful candidate will be highly motivated and results-focused, and will join our finance team, based in our Newry HQ.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting with the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual accounts.
  • Supporting the month-end close process – balance sheet reconciliations, accruals and prepayments, consolidated cash flow statement etc.
  • Review financial information with the intention of proactively identifying any issues and taking corrective action
  • Preparing legal entity balance sheets packs to audit standard
  • Assist in internal and/or external audit requests for the Group and Subsidiary Entity reporting
  • Taking ownership of ad hoc projects designed to promote process improvements

Criteria:

  • Undergraduate degree in related disciple (2.1 or above preferred)
  • A newly qualified accountant ACA/ACCA/CIMA
  • Strong technical accounting experience (Group plc experience desirable)
  • Highly personable, team player. Open to sharing knowledge and skills
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environment and to tight deadlines
  • Analytical mindset, with the ability to identify problems and offer solutions
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Flexible hands-on approach
  • Experience in the implementation of systems is desirable but not essential
