Trade Surveillance Business Analyst

We have an excellent opportunity for a Trade Surveillance Business Analyst to join our First Derivative consulting division in London, Belfast, Dublin or Toronto on a permanent basis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Complete technology on-boarding processes for a Trade Surveillance solution.
  • Providing guidance and support for company projects and initiatives
  • Working with Stakeholders to implement technology solutions to their requirements on Surveillance platforms.
  • Data analysis and production of technical documentation, formulating testing approaches, test plans and cases.
  • Regular updates to senior stakeholders
  • Supporting business users with user acceptance testing.
  • Presentation of results to senior stakeholders

Criteria:

  • Strong Business Analyst background
  • Good knowledge of SQL
  • Good product knowledge: OTCs, Swaps, Derivatives, Bonds, ETDs and Cash Equity
  • Experience of working in a FO domain
  • Good experience in Surveillance, Risk, Controls or similar
  • SME in Compliance/Trade Surveillance solutions
  • Wholesale or Commercial banking background
  • Good understanding of business change and software development life cycles
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to multitask
  • Excellent inter personals skills
  • Ability to communicate across levels of seniority
  • Strong MS Office skills
  • Self-starter who is proactive and driven
  • Good relationship and experience of dealing with regulatory bodies
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Technically accomplished
  • Significant experience of working in Financial Services / Capital Markets

Location:

This role can be based in the UK (London or Belfast), Ireland (Dublin) and Toronto.
