C++ Developer/Software Development Engineer

To meet the growing demand for our technology and services, we are currently growing our Client-Based Team.

You will be joining FD Technologies plc development team distributed between New York, London & Newry. You will also be supported by a team of First Derivative Business Analysts and QA Engineers. You will be involved in development of core server-side functionality and optimisations. The role does not involve deployment or support of the application.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Development of new products and enhancement of existing products
  • Ensuring the code is tested thoroughly
  • Reliability of code is paramount, our developers have their code rolled into production regularly throughout the year

 

Criteria:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field
  • In-depth knowledge in object-oriented design, data structures, algorithm design, problem solving, and complexity analysis
  • Experience taking a leading role in building complex software systems in an agile environment that have been successfully delivered to customers.
  • Experience in architecture/design of complex software systems in large scale.
  • Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams and senior management, to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy.
  • Proficiency in, at least, one modern programming language such as C++, Java, C#
