KX Systems is actively looking for a kdb+ Developer to join our Strategic R&D team. At KX, we build and maintain the most hi-performance time-series analytics platform in the industry. We are in the process of building out our cloud infrastructure and making our capabilities available to hosted applications across a range of industries.

This role will be an integral part of the KX Surveillance team. This team is building upon years of customization and innovation in order to develop a world class Trade and Ecomms Surveillance solution. The software is used to detect and monitor trades and orders across multiple asset classes, with configurable alerts and an auditable centralized case management tool.

On a day-to-day basis, you will:

Develop the Kx Surveillance product across multiple asset classes for several implementations as well as contributing to the future expansion of the product.

About you:

  • 3+ years’ strong experience working with kdb+/q
  • Experience in developing large scale data capture and analysis platforms
  • Full software development life cycle experience
  • Good Capital Markets knowledge across multiple asset classes
  • Ability to work independently and self-motivate
  • Unix/Linux Experience

Nice to have skills:

  • Knowledge of Surveillance and regulations is desirable
  • Experience working within public Cloud Environments (AWS, GCP, Azure)
  • Experience with other programming languages and/or software (preferred Python)
